End of 2011 farewell to the old year

It’s been a super shiny year for Digital White! We’ve delivered all sorts of projects: Enterprise apps for Superdry, design work for Google, a new brand for the legal services of Londonw, and branding and a web app for new consumer financial product InvestorBee, to name but a few. It's great to see smiles all around by offering what we are most passionate about - Super Shiny Web Apps!

Thank you to all our clients, suppliers, staff and fans for making this year a memorable one. We very much appreciate everyone’s input.

2012 will kick off with a new web app for a global food brand, a website for ISBA - the voice of British Advertisers, more for InvestorBee, and a flagship idea for a well known US crime drama.

Have a relaxing break and we look forward to working with you in 2012!

Happy Christmas!

Isba Conference

We've just returned from the ISBA Annual Conference at Lords. This extremely informative event highlighted challenges, trends and opportunities within the advertising industry. Keynote talks were delivered by Coors, BSkyB, Virgin Media and ITV.

We were particularly impressed with Fru Hazlitt's (MD of Commercial and Online at ITV) take on ITV's strategy, who stressed that content creators should think about a seamless engagement experience irrespective of platform watched on: live, catch-up, or mobile. There was also a particularly interesting panel of erudite and articulate teenagers who enlightened us as to their online preferences. And to top it off the Lords catering was top notch!

"Alex, I just wanted to drop you a note to say how engrossed I was in your presentation! It gave me real insight into the practical ways I can research, measure and utilise social media to monitor and manage our reputation." This was RBS' Joanna Aldhous' feedback from presenting to ISBA's Scottish Members today. Other attendees were Scottish Widows, Heineken and Sainsbury's Bank.

The subject was 'Connect your digital thinking' and looked at five key elements:
  • The uses and benefits of social media engagement
  • How to understand your audience and their usage characteristics
  • The relationship between search, social and content
  • Fascinating statistics on Heineken, Scottish Widows, and RBS
  • The future of social media

Joanna went on to say: "Not only was it a real eye opener, and the tools Roger [Jones] presented backed up by detailed information to support their use was invaluable! I now have a great understanding of the tasks ahead, the direction we need to go in and how I can start that journey and make a difference to our company."
