Web design internship with Digital White, London

If you’ve got web skills, why don’t you take them, and put them to good use through an internship with DW.
You’ll learn how to create, update and manage some of our websites.

Our web-design interns get experience doing the following:

  • Coding to web-standards and implementing AJAX and jQuery
  • Updating pages and CSS stylesheets
  • Creating graphics and animations
  • Working alongside senior designer and developers
  • Learn about W3C compliance in real-world environment
  • Assisting in maintenance of site
  • Experience in search-engine optimisation
  • Using modern web based project management and workflow systems

We look for interns who have following skills & experience:

  • Must be at university level, student studying IT or Design
  • Experience in hand coding HTML, XHTML,
  • Knowledge in Javascript, CSS, W3C
  • Ability to work with ASP.NET using Visual Studio 2008 and C#
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques
  • Ability to determine the coding required for the initial creation of the website
  • Ability to handle website layouts and templates
  • Ability to map and outline a website’s structural content
  • Creating, designing & editing images or graphics for websites using CS4 Packages
  • Prior experience in designing websites or web pages
  • Understand how to produce designs that attract desired target users and ensure that content is accessible
  • Ability to test website funcionalities in different web browsers and resolutions
  • Highly self-motivated and communicative
  • Interest in the web communities, social media, animation, video

Overall with an internship in our IT Department you will be working alongside an international team acquiring the necessary skills required to get into a productive career in the field of IT Web Design.
