Digital White has created a desktop widget for PayPal, to accompany our recent Facebook application Give A Little Back.

The desktop widget makes use of the latest Air technology, to generate fun and persuasive emails which request funds back from friends who owe you money. You simply upload a picture, create a cheeky ‘campaign’ and send it to your friends. Before you know it you’ll have your money back!

DW was briefed by PayPal at the end of last year, and our new team member Will Watts has been busy managing the project. PayPal wanted a Facebook application which allows people to give a fun but effective reminder to friends that owe them money. There is also the option of adding the friends to a name and shame gallery.

We have managed to roll out the application fast, and used Flash AS3 to make sure that it uses all the latest technology to harness the power of Facebook 2.0.

We are also in the process of developing the application as a desktop widget, which is due to launch very soon. Getting your money back just got a lot easier!
